Registration for Bartimaeus Institute, February 2013

Monday, Feb 18 - Fri, Feb 22, 2013 “There was a rich man who...” Sabbath Economics in Luke 12-19 Led by Ched Myers. This five day mid-winter Institute scripture intensive will explore selected texts from Luke's "special section." We will look at how the third gospel uniquely articulates the problem of social and economic disparity, how Jesus envisions the church as a new society in the shell of the old, and how these texts challenge First World Christians to economic repentance and renewal. Join Ched to work on themes he is shaping into a forthcoming book.

Policies

REFUNDS: Full fee is due on February 8, 2013. If you cancel after January 27, 2013, your refund will depend on our ability to fill your spot.

ATTENDANCE: Late arrivals and/or early departures will be required to pay full fee. Partial attendance by special arrangement only

CANCELLATION: We reserve the right to cancel the Institute if minimum registration of 10 participants is not met by January 27, 2013. If we cancel, you will receive full refund of registration.

NOTE: We are producing this Institute using as many local resources and vendors, and as little fossil fuel, as possible, in support of the environment and the local economy.

Residential fee includes:
- Accommodations Monday evening thru Friday morning, at the Oak Ridge Inn, located three walkable blocks from the Oak View Resource Center. (Note: Please do not try to book directly with the Inn, as we’ll be booking block rooms at a special rate; if you wish to view the rooms go to www.oakridgeinn.com.)
- Meals beginning Monday dinner thru Friday lunch (meals are home cooked vegetarian).
- Programming and instructional materials, mailed beforehand and available on site.
