"4-29: Remem-bearing and Renewal"

Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Rebellion

Convened by ReconciliAsian and Bartimaeus Cooperative Ministries

April 7-8, 2017, Los Angeles

A forum for the Korean Christian community and others to “remem-bear” the 1992 L.A. urban rebellion.

At this event we explored history, unresolved trauma, and justice issues today, including asking "What have we learned - or not learned?", "How do we prevent violence from happening again?",  "How can we be good neighbors?" and "How can we learn each other’s stories?"

A photo essay by Chris Wight is available here (PDF 400kb).

Ched Myer's opening presentation is available here (PDF 5.5Mb).
